Security Engineer
About the Job
Gentis Solutions is looking for a Security Engineer to join our team. This role is part of our Professional Consultants group, working directly with clients to accomplish their goals. Consulting engagements typically last an average of 12 months but often extend in duration.
Compensation for this position ranges from 214k/year - 229k/year per year, based on experience. Payment is bi-weekly and is based on all hours worked, without eligibility for overtime.
This position requires the individual to be located in the Seattle, WA area.
Must Have:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in hardware security, embedded systems security, or similar
• Experience designing, testing, and analyzing circuit designs and PCB layouts
• Knowledge of threat modeling, secure boot implementations, and cryptography (RSA, AES, HMAC, PQC)
• Experience with manufacturing security processes, including secret provisioning and secure production flows
• Hands-on experience testing, debugging, or hacking hardware using common electronics test equipment
Plusses:
• Master's degree in relevant technical field or equivalent advanced experience
• Knowledge of side-channel attack analysis and associated countermeasures
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, especially automated quality inspection techniques
• Experience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholders
• Knowledge of debug interface security (JTAG, BDM), anti-rollback mechanisms, and fault injection protection
• Experience programming in at least one modern language such as C, C++, or Rust
